Help Please

Well I have been working on a baby shower for a friend of mine. Here is the invitations I designed on the internet and they came in the mail today..

I get a phone call from her this evening. She tells me about her doctors appt and tells me they did a sonogram. I ask how Kynslee is doing and she informs that "Kynslee has grown a penis and is not a Kynslee". I just started laughing and was like no way, but yeah way!! So I have spent some money on these invitations. I am wanting to make this really funny. I want to send this invitation with something attached saying something funny. But I am hitting a brick wall! Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Busy busy busy

My little man turns one next Sunday!!! AHHH I cannot believe a year has come and gone! Man I feel busy now but thinking back to last year - I was 9 months pregnant, moving, 9 lab puppies and a two year old! Don't know how I did it! I feel extremely busy just keeping up with my crawling son! He is everywhere! I have had baby gates on the stairs for ever but I have not locked them b/c Lillie Beth has no problem with the stairs. Every time I go up with Jackson I make sure they it is locked but have not had to lock the down stairs one well today I run upstairs to get my shoes and I hear Lillie Beth "Mom he can climb the stairs" he had only made it up one step but if you know our stairs (you can see through them and nothing but tile under them) he could have really hurt himself! His favorite place to go is in the bath tub with or without water in it! He will just crawls in and laughs laughs!! I will post pictures after his birthday. I tried to do a slide show but something was not working right!

On to Lillie Beth - she is so much fun these days. Loves to play dress up and pretend! Her favorite is running from Jackson calling him the baby monster!! She is in gymnastics and will be starting soccer next week. She will be playing on the same team as her friend Tyler. I love Tyler and his mommy Lacie! It will be so much fun watching the kids play on the same team. She still goes to mothers day out. She is dying to go back to Colorado! If you ask her what she wants to do today she will say play in the snow! Its too cute. Her favorite thing to eat is chicken and french fries. Not only is it her favorite but its like the only thing she will eat. I can sometimes get her to eat green beans but the only meat she eats is chicken!! Its really starting to drive me crazy.

Me- where do I begin? Umm well I cannot remember if I have said anything about Junior league? Well I am joining! I am a provisional this year. I am helping head up are class project- Kids in the Kitchen - to help children eat right, obesity and prevention, and exercising. Its fun but taking up a lot of time. I also am taking a running class at the Y. I am up to running about 3.5 miles. I was suppose to do a 5k tomorrow but it was postponed due to the rain. I also have been swimming a lot. Lacie and I are going to do a sprint triathlon in May! Wish me luck! Swim 500 meters, bike 15 miles and run 3.1 miles I think I can do it I have about 8 wks to train. Oh and did I say I am working on getting my Realtors license? I have 2 classes until I can take the state test! I should have done this a long time ago but better late then never!

Gary- Fishing, fishing and more fishing. If he is not on the water, he is watching it or talking it! He is doing great. Still traveling a lot but he tries to only be gone one night! Jackson loves his Daddy and gets really upset when he leaves, its quite funny.

Well hope everyone is doing great and I will post pictures soon and update more often! Oh to end on a funny note! Lillie Beth peed in a car at the Houston Car Show! Thankfully it all ended up in her shoes oh and the interior was black!!

Deceptively Delicious

I decided that my daughter was not getting enough veggies! So I bought the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. Well let me tell you I watched Jessica Seinfeld on Oprah and she just made it sound so easy. She said that she pureed her veggies every Sunday night. She has to be super mom b/c each veggie took me about 45-60 minutes to wash, cut, stem, puree and divide them into storage containers. The process is a whip! My kitchen was a mess. Oh and the book does not tell you how much of each veggie to buy. Thankfully my neighbor informed me that one thing of broccoli only makes like a cup and a half. Anyway I would NOT do this every week. Its a huge mess. I made sure and made enough of each puree to last at least a month. My neighbor and I agreed that next time we will have a pureeing party and do this together.

So I spent all this time and decide to make mac and cheese for the kids. Well it called for 1/2 cup of cauliflower puree so I put it in. Let me say I cannot stand the smell of cauliflower but think okay this cannot be to bad. Well my Lillie Beth would have nothing to do with it! She said it stunk!!!!!!!! Jackson on the other hand had never had mac & cheese and thought it was just the best. I tried it and it wasn't bad but had my mom put it in front of me I would have not eaten it either. It was tooo funny so if you are trying this I would say start out with a smaller amount then what it calls for like 1/4 cup.

Good luck to anyone who is trying to deceive their little ones! I hope you have more success then me. I will let you know what else I try and how it goes over.

Home Sweet Home

We are home. We got home on Wednesday. I am happy to be home but I have to say I miss the cold. I cannot believe it was in the 70's today. I at least got one cold day before it warmed back up. I am sorry for not posting everyday like I said I would but time got away from me and I was exhausted at night. Lillie Beth and I both skied. It was okay. I think if I was in better shape I might enjoy it more but I think I am going to try snowboarding next time. Lillie Beth had fun. She made a couple of 10-15 feet with out falling. It was really cold so she was only out for an hour or so. We hope to go back in March and it will be warmer and we can try again. I have tons of pictures and videos to upload (still not sure how to do that) but will work on it. We are getting a back into our normal routine. OH Jackson is going to get his first haircut this week! I will post pictures. He is starting to look like a little girl with all his hair and its driving Daddy crazy! See ya later!

White Christmas

I will start with Merry Christmas to all!! The kids and I are enjoying our first white Christmas! We are in Crested Butte Colorado. Gary's parents have a house here and have been so kind to let us come and hang out. We drove up here. We left on Friday and got here on Sunday. We just took our time. We stopped in Lubbock to love on a new precious baby. My best friend Cydnie had her second little one on Thursday Dec 20th. Sadie Elaine Moudy. She is so tiny and precious. We will be stopping back by on our way home to love on them some more. The kids did really well and the weather was great.

Well we have not been up to much. I have been getting use to the weather and trying to decide if I am going to ski or not. Last night we saw a torch light parade down the mountain. The ski instructors skied down with tourches in both hands (no poles) It was so beautiful. Lillie Beth and Jackson have been enjoying playing in the sled. Lillie Beth has made some snow angels. The snow is so dry that we have not been able to make a snow man yet. We are going to have to wet the snow to get it to stick together. Lillie Beth will start ski school tomorrow, she will really enjoy it. We are planning on doing a lot, my knees are really bothering me so I am not sure if I will ski or not. I want to try but am just a little nervous. The mountain is really not that busy. If you want a nice place to come and not to expensive check out Crested Buttes websites! They offer some sweet deals. She is 3!!!!

My precious baby girl turned 3 yesterday! I cannot believe it. She is growing up way to fast. Its amazing how time is flying.

These days she is really understanding what I say. She is a little too smart sometimes. But the other day we went shopping at a Holiday Market and I let her pick out a book, but I told her we would get it on the way out if she was good. We where there several hours and came upon an umbrella. She asks me very nicely and I tell her if you get this then you cannot have the book. Which one would you rather have, she picks the umbrella. We then walk by and stop at the books again. She points at the book and tells Aunt Shelle that was the book she was going to get but that she picked the umbrella and was not allowed to have both!! I was so impressed. Now if she would just do that on other things I tell her.

We had her birthday party at JW Tumbles. They really do great parties. She had a great turn out and got lots of great gifts! Its so hard with Christmas next month. I think I am going to let her play with most of them and put a few away and pull them out one at a time. Her are some pictures from the party.

Well I have been a big slacker and I know from my last post I said I would be better. You can just call me a big fat liar. Lots has been going on but I will just post Halloween pictures and try to catch up later! If anyone knows how to put up a slide show I would greatly appreciate some help on getting it on my blog. I know how to do it on myspace but cannot figure it out here!

slacker

I am the biggest blogger slacker! Where to start. Lillie Beth is loving school. Jackson is almost crawling. Still no teeth, but Lillie Beth did not get hers until 13 months! So there is no telling when he will get his. I keep saying I see them but nothing. I need to post pictures, but I am on the labtop and they are on the big computer. Jackson is still sick! He gets better then after a few days of being off the antibiotic he gets bad again and now that we cannot give him anything b/c of the drug scare we will be back at the dr for another antibiotic. Please pray that he gets better and stays better!

Now me. I am so ready for Christmas!! I normally would like to sleep threw the holidays but I am so pumped this year! I have already ordered the Little People nativity scene so Lillie Beth can have one to play with. I have decided where I am putting the tree! I am also going to get to use the critters that my grandmother made, they are beautiful. I will post pictures when I get them up. Or I think there are some from last Christmas at Shelle's house. We are going to Colorado for Christmas but I am still going to get everything out! We will be in Crested Butte, it will my first white Christmas and the first time I have gone skiing!

On September 29th Gary and I celebrated our sixth year anniversary. We went to a nice dinner and then last weekend went to Lake Charles and relaxed for the weekend. Yesterday we went to the lake with some of our friends from life group. The weather was beautiful. The water was a little cold but enjoyable. Lillie Beth took her first boat and jet ski ride. She loved it. I had a blast playing on the jet ski. I love to go fast! Jackson did great. Unfortunately most of the other kids ended up sick. One came down with the stomach bug while we where there and one either had pink eye or really bad allergies. But it was a fun relaxing day. I enjoyed getting to visit and get to know people that I did not know very well. Not much going on here. Check back soon - maybe Jackson will have a tooth or will be crawling! Until next time.

Start of School & 6 Months

Lillie Beth started school this morning. She loved it. She has a few friends from last year and her cousin is in the other 3 year old class. They get to see each other at P.E., recess, and music. When I went to pick her up today her teacher told me that whenever it was time to do something Lillie Beth would say "No not me". But said she would do it. She is too funny. After school we went out for ice cream. She got rainbow, she got more on her then in her tummy.

5 months!!!!!!!

Jackson was 5 months on Thursday. How time is flying. He can roll over, sit up and says mama!! He does not say it all the time but if I am not around and he wants me he will say it! I was shocked to hear it the other day. He is 17 pounds. We had to take him to the Dr for diaper rash on Wednesday. He actually had a reaction to diapers I switched to so I had to change again. He has really sensitive skin. I have not started him on food yet. I am still waiting he is just starting to poop regularly (at least once every 4-5days). Oh and still no teeth but I can see them!! Lillie Beth did not get her first tooth until 13 months!! He is still sleeping great. I am having to wake him up!

Sorry

I have tons of pictures that I need to post! But I have not down loaded pictures off of my camera in a long time! I have over 400 images to down load! So it is going to take a while. Lots has been going on around here. Lillie Beth is now 90% potty trained! She stills has the normal accidents. We made up different ways to walk to the potty and then came up with a really cool dance for afterwards! It was really fun. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to let them run around with out any thing on the bottom half for 2-3 days. It helped her know when she needed to go.

New vehicle!! Yes I have finally gotten rid of my Honda! I really need something with a third row seat! I got a Ford Expedition. I love that the third row goes completely flat and it pops up with the push of a button.

Jackson is well over 15 pounds! At his 4 months he was 15.12 and that was over 2 weeks ago! Lillie Beth was not even 15 at her 6 month!! My little chubs!! He eats great and sleeps great. If we could just get him to poop great. When he goes he just about ruins everything he is in or on. Oh the stories and pictures we have!! :) He had some test ran about the problem but nothing was wrong!

Guess I better give an update on Gary! He is working a lot in Dallas which stinks. We really miss him and its just hard taking care of 2 kids by yourself for several days. To you single moms out there I don't know how you do it! My prayers are with you. When Gary is not working he spends most his time with us well he is with us but his mind is fishing/hunting! He is getting to go elk hunting in September! He is so excited. Please pray that he has a very successful hunt!

That's basically what we have been up to. I will get better about posting and with pictures!

Life and it is flying by!!

This Weekend:

Memaw came into town! Yeah we have not seen her in a very long time. John was suppose to come with her but he was ugly and had to stay in Austin! Please pray for him as he is having some behavior issues. This morning we went to the pool. We got in for 5 minutes and then they called safety brake! Then it thundered so we had to wait another 15 minutes. We had just gotten back in when it really thundered, we gave up and came home!

Astros Game:

Tonight was the ACU baseball game. I know I did not go to ACU but my sister did and so did my husband and I might as well gone there! I just decided to not take on the big student loans that go along with ACU. But anyway back to the game. Lillie Beth and Jackson both did great! Lillie Beth wanted a hat and so Daddy got her one! Or Memaw actually - Thanks Memaw!

We had a great time. Thank you Aunt Shelle for inviting us!! Jackson was a great sport, he napped, hung out and wiggled!! We left during the 7th inning. On the way home Lillie Beth said that she had fun and wanted to know when we could go again.

Las Vegas:


Well my trip to Las Vegas was wonderful! We stayed at the Mirage! That place is wonderful. The white lion and tiger exhibit is really cool. I think that is the first time I have seen a white lion!! Oh and they have dolphins! They had a 2 week old he was too cute. I also go to see Celine Dion - her voice is amazing. And for those that have seen it - I wish I had that black chair!! ;) We gambled a little. I broke even or I should say I made enough to pay for my meals and fun while I was there. Jackson did great. I kept him on TX time so he wouldn't be too confused. I definetly had a great time but would like to go back without a child! I am waiting on pics to be sent to me so I will update when I get them.

Time has just been flying by! Last week we went to Dallas with Gary and had a great time. It was the first time we have traveled with Jackson. The first night he was not sure where he was and cried for a while but then he went to sleep and slept most the night. He did great the rest of the time. Lillie Beth had a blast at Mimi's house. They have a very small pool (I would call it a large hot tub) But we swam and played. WE went to where I use to work. The have a playroom for kids and Lillie Beth had a great time playing. It was great to catch up with some old friends! We also went to dinner with my brother Garth my nephew Keegan - My sister in law is on a 3 week mission trip in Brazil and my other nephew John was visiting friends. We have not seen them in a very long time I am thinking a good 2 years. I wish we could have seen the entire family but hopefully next time! John graduated this year and will be attending Texas Tech!! I cannot believe he will be in college. I feel so old. Well I am now on the down hill slide to 30!! AHHH. This week we have been hanging out, cleaning house, doing laundry, getting ready to go to Vegas! We leave tomorrow!! I am so excited. Anyway better go pack! I have lots of pics to post and will have more after this weekend so I will do that next week!

Pool must haves!!

Thought I would share with you some items I could not live without while at the pool!!

Lillie Beth's tube - It is the best! I got it mid summer last year and by the end of the summer she was swimming off by herself! This year she is already jumping and sliding in it. It puts her shoulders under when she hits the water but her face does not go completely under! She swims off by herself and does not want anyone to touch her! She can do it! She asked to go off the diving boards and I said your not big enough and she replied yes I am! I got this at Academy!

Jackson's chair - This chair is the best! I bought it to take to the office when I was working. It folds up just like the big camping chairs and has a little bag to fit into! I leave it in the car and have gotten it out several different places to use it- my sisters, the pool, the office!! With shipping I spent $27!! I found it on Walmart.com Well worth the money to have something that doesn't take up much room and you can use it anywhere!

Summer time!

We have been spending lots of time at the pool! If you are a resident in The Woodlands you can get a pool pass for the summer! The cost is $30 for adults and $6 for the kids! Let me tell you we really get our moneys worth! Last week we went 2 or 3 time but so far this week we have been everyday except maybe Tuesday. We usually go either right when it opens at 10 a.m. and stay till lunch time or we go in the evenings about 6 and stay till it closes at 8! When we go in the evenings I spend about 30 minutes swimming laps, treading water, or just moving in the water! Lillie Beth has no fear of the water! I took her float off tonight and she didn't want me to hold her. She tried her best to swim but she just sank! I pulled her up and she wanted to try again! I am really going to find her some swim classes! I could really post tons of pictures of Lillie Beth playing and swimming but I will only share a few!

My Weekend!!

Gary has been out of town since Wed. He will be home some time tomorrow. Lets just say the kids have been keeping me on my toes. Don't they look like Angels?? Don't let them fool you!!

I think most of you know that we have been having issues with Jackson pooping! Today it had been 9 days and he was extremely fussy and I could just tell he needed to poop. I gave him a suppository and he pooped really good! So I clean him up and get dinner started. Lillie Beth starts screaming and I come to see what is going on and find.................................

Priceless! Poor baby! I came up with a game plan to get him cleaned up and take the bumbo outside to spray it down. And I come into find.................................

Like her mustache? It was a washable black crayon! I only had to use a wet wipe! But it tells you a little how my last few days have been! On top of giving Jackson breathing treatments 3 times a day, taking care of two dogs. Oh and we have not gotten Dowie fixed yet and she is in heat again!!! AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

We have had some fun! We went to the pool twice! Sorry I do not have pictures of that but my small digital camera is broken and I did not take the big one. But I will get some next time. The first day Jackson did not get in the water it was pretty chilly! But then last night he did. He did great. No fear!! We also went bowling with some friends. Oh yeah we went on a major hunt for some Crocs for Lillie Beth. Aunt Shelle has ordered her some but they are on back order. WE went to 5 stores before we finally found a pair!! They are a chocolate brown color. I got her little flowers to put in the holes. She loves them. She even tried to sleep with them on the other night.

Sorry

It has been way too long since my last post! Sorry! Lets just say lots has been happening. And I will try to fill you in on as much as possible! But I will start with today! I just went up stairs to get Lillie Beth up from her nap and I walked in to find her laying in bed butt naked! She took her diaper off and informed me that it was all wet. But I check the bed and she had not wet the bed! Thank goodness! She has been asking me to change her diaper as soon as she wets or dirties it, I know she is ready to potty train I just have been waiting for her to get out of school! Now she is out for the summer and we are about to get down to business. I have been reading "Potty Train Your Child in Just ONE DAY" One of my education teachers used it and I remember watching Dr. Phil or someone do a special about it. I will let you know if it works!

Jackson is getting so big! He is 11 wks now! WOW how time flys when you have 2! He has a little reflex so we are on medication for that. I think he has allergies as well. He is so stuffy, red eyes and sneezes when we go outside! I am having to constantly clean out his nose and he HATES it. He is already wearing 3-6month clothes!! Lillie Beth was in 0-3 for ever! But I guess thats the difference between boys and girls. Oh and we are having to give him straight apple juice! He does not poop. He was going 7 days. Anyway sure you do not want to hear about that.

As for me I am trying really hard to loose weight and get back into my prepregnancy clothes. We are taking a girls trip (and Jackson) to Vegas in June and I do not want to spend money on new clothes. I am walking-jogging two times a day usually getting a total of at least 2.5 miles. I am going to get my sisters bike tonight and the pools will stay open late starting next week so I really think I can do it. I am 10 pounds from where I started and a little over one size away. Right now I am squeezing in an 8 and need to be in a 6, would love to get to a 4 but that is where I was before I had Lillie Beth and I never really tried after her I just slowly got to a 6 so if I can get to a 6 in 4 wks that would be just awesome.

Gary is working hard. A he has been working a lot in the DFW area. They had some severe storms come through there! So he is selling roofs up there. Besides that he spends most his time with the family or talking about fishing. He is really into fishing. Which is great but I get sick of hearing about it. At least its a change from hearing all about hunting.

Easter Bunny

Well we went and saw the Easter Bunny! He was a little scary this year! But Lillie Beth did a great job.

I have more pictures to post but will have to do it later. Lillie Beth is having a egg hunt tomorrow at school so I need to go get the eggs ready. If I don't post before Easter, Happy Easter everyone.

Life

Well I only have a few minutes before our next feeding so this will be quick! A lot has been happening around here! Jacksons PKU test came back abnormal so they are retesting him. When we went to the dr for that he was 8lb 4oz and then yesterday we went for his 2 wk appt (we moved it back b/c dr was on spring break!) and he was 8lb 11 oz he gained 7 oz in 4 days! Oh and don't worry about the test most the time the second one comes back normal! I will get the results in a week or so and I will let you know!

Some friends of mine have started their own photography business and they came and set up and took some great pictures of the kids!! Here is a couple! I will post more later!

Please pray for some friends of ours (The O'Neals), she is pregnant and went in the hospital 2 weeks ago for preterm labor. She is now 33 wks and they have gotten it under control for the moment but that could change. They have a little boy that is a couple of months older than Lillie Beth and he is just doesn't understand what is going on. He has been coming home with us from Mothers Day Out on Tue & Thur to play until his dad gets home from work. Please pray that he has patients and understanding during this time and when the baby arrives. Please pray for her b/c she is having to lay most the day at hospital!!

Anyway better go feed little man and hit the sack! He is still sleeping pretty good! If we can just get the gas under control! Which is totally my fault! Because I am not eating that great!

We are home and doing great. I had a successful VBAC! Thank you for all your prayers. We were out of the hospital in less than 24 hours after having him! Lillie Beth is a proud big sister. She is doing okay. Mimi (Gary's mom) is here and will be leaving on Friday. I think things will change then. I am trying to adjust to having 2 children! Jackson is a really good baby. He is sleeping most the night only getting up to feed once about 2-3ish then again about 7 a.m. if I can keep him like that then we will be happy campers. Anyway better run!!
