The Baby

Yesterday, I got a call from the sonogram tech at my Dr. office. She is having to update her certification and show that she can get the measurements right. She asked me if I wanted to come in for a sonogram and of course I went in!! It was so cool! I was there for 45 minutes watching the baby. Normally a sonogram is done in about 10 minutes so the extra time was really great! Well we found out we are having a BOY!!! Well we are 99% positive! Take a look for yourself in the pictures below!! You can normally tell at this time but Dr do not normally do another sonogram until 20 wks so that is normally when you find out! And normally at this stage (12 wks and 6 days) the baby won't be in the right position for you to tell! So I have attached some pictures! The also did the 3D imaging, you cannot really tell from the computer but on my pictures it is really cool! If you go and look at my firs posting with sonograms you can see such a difference! It is so awesome how they grow and change from day to day! Its only been 4 week and there is such a difference! Any Talk to you later

Our Trip

We spent this weekend in Galveston. We stayed at the Moody Gardens Hotel. We had a great time. We got there Friday evening and ate dinner and then hit the pool. On Saturday morning it rained but we did not let that ruin our trip. Moody Gardens has 3 pyramids and so we went to the aquarium. We saw first saw them feed the seals. Then we went under and the seals swam right up to the glass. Next, we got to see a scuba diver feeding some fish, manarays,a turtle and small sharks. Then we had sharks swimming above and around us. That was really weird! Last but not least we got to see them feed the penguins (we saw them chunk one in the water it was funny).
After the aquarium we decided to drive around and let LB get a little nap. We went to the strand, saw the cruise ships, and just cruised for a little while. We ate a late lunch about 2 at Gaidos! It was delicious. I use to eat there with my family when I was a little girl. The place really hadn't changed, it was a trip back in time. By this time it had stopped raining and the sun was out! So we went back and got our swimsuits on and went to this beach but it wasn't a beach! It was a big big pool with sand all around it! It also had a splash pad that LB had a blast running around on. LB could swim all day!! After this area closed we went back to the pool at the hotel and swam some more. Finally got out of the pool about 7 p.m.! We got cleaned up and went and ate at Sonic, which was right on the sea wall and watched the waves.

Sunday, we got up and had breakfast and then went to walk on the beach! LB at first was excited (as you can see from the picture of her pointing) but once I took her shoes off and we went near the water she did not like the waves coming over her feet. We only hung out for 30 minutes or so and headed back to the hotel. We requested late check out so we did not have to be out until 2 p.m. We head straight for the pool. We same for a while and then got ready to head home. As you can tell from the pictures we really had a great and relaxing time! But it was back to the real world! We walked in the door and went to lay LB down for a nap and surprise! Part of the ceiling in her room had fallen!! G spent about 3 hours cleaning that up!! Oh well! Such is life!!

On to something else! I just wanted to tell you that LB is growing up way to fast! She will now have a convsation with you! Most of the time you can understand her but sometimes you can't! She has gotten to that stage where she loves to imagine play! She loves to play babies and she has a little kitchen set she plays with too! She knows most her animal sounds (duck, cow, sheep, cat, dog, pig, horse, etc) a few of her shapes! She will tell you where her eyse, ears, nose are oh and yours too!! She loves belly buttons!! We are working on colors right now! She will be in a 2 day a week mothers day out! She will be in the 2 year old class! She is suppose to be in the 18 mo b/c she isn't 2 by Sept. 1st but I am working in the 18 mo class and thought it would be better if she wasn't in my room! We start on Sept. 5th! Well I know this was a big post but I had lots to tell you!! Love ya'll

THE HOSPITAL!!

Okay for those of you that haven't heard. I spent the weekend in the hospital. It all started early Friday morning. I got a really bad pain in my left side at first I was so worried that something was wrong with the baby and I was throwing up b/c the pain was sooo bad. I woke up G and we dropped LB off at my sister S house (so nice having family right around the corner) and we headed to the ER. Well they hooked me up to an IV and started giving me fluids and gave me something for the pain. They sent me home at about 1:00 p.m. saying I had a UTI. At about 5 the pain started coming back and I took tylenol thinking okay I can handle this well I started throwing up again and the pain was worse then before. So off we went! Dropped LB off again and headed to the ER. This time it takes almost an hour for them to get me a bed! I was in so much pain I finally screamed and they jumped!! Well the doctor this time was very nice and took care of me right away I was feeling good in no time :) as long as I didn't move! He said he was pretty sure I have a kidney stone but wants to check with my OB to see if they can do a one shot X-ray. So they did and my left kidney is really inflamed and so they admitted me to stay!

I want to take a moment and thank my wonderful husband who had to stay in the ER (I was not even in the ER I was in the area where they check in patients for the ER!) He had to sit on a stool and listen kids crying and see everything for 5 hours!! I was on some good medicine and sleeping. Finally at 2 A.M. they moved us a room!! He then came home to let the dog out and get some things for our stay. They are 99% positive that I have a stone but they have not been able to see it. Being that I am pregnant there are only certain things they can do. So they pumped alot of fluid into me. I started to feel better and last night (Saturday) was the last time I requested pain medicine. So today I got the okay to go home!! Yeah! But I am to rest and take it easy! Hard to do when you have a 21 month old!! She does not understand taking it easy! But my lovely sister in law K came in from Denton to help me so hopefully I will feel 100% soon! But the Dr's said I have not passed it and they do not know when I might or if I even will! So basically I could end up right back in the hospital!

Please pray that this passes easily and that I do not have anymore complications!! Thanks and have a good night!!

First appointment

Well today we went to the Dr. He is very nice Gand I both really liked him. If you look below this post you will see the ultrasound pictures. In the middle picture you can see the heart beat! It was 176 which is very strong! Um they drew blood (alot)! We discussed another c-section vs. VBAC but he said we do not have to decide that until near the end of the pregnancy. They took a family history. Everyone loved LB. She did pretty well. During the ultrasound when they were playing the heart beat LB pointed at the screen and said "Baby" it was really cute. We had a very good appointment and I do not have to go back for 4 wks. I have not gotten sick so far! I have been a little more nausiated this week but if I suck on a peppermint it goes away. LB and I have been exercising - walking 3-4 days a week. I have not gained any weight yet but I am getting a belly. This week I had to start doing the rubber band trick with my pants! We are very excited! Oh per the ultrasound my due date is March 5, 2007 so a spring baby! Well I got to run! I will talk to you later!!
